The Creative Arts program gives our students the opportunity to express themselves creatively in a number of areas, including music, dance, drama and visual arts.
Lessons are delivered by a specialist Creative Arts teacher who works with the students each week.
The teaching of Creative Arts also provides students with opportunities to explore social and cultural values. St Nicholas provides students with a wide range of opportunities for students to understand our distinctive Australian culture, while also fostering awareness and appreciation of other cultural traditions.
New technologies also offer unprecedented ways for students and other audiences and viewers to interact with works. Students investigate how a wide range of technologies are suited to their artistic intentions.
Students in Years 3 to 6 also have the opportunity to participate in a school choir, regularly practising and performing at parish liturgies, school assemblies and celebrations. The school has formed a partnership with the International School of Music whereby students are able to participate in their program. Students also participate in music and dance programs provided by Captivate and Dance Fever.
