ππ Kindergarten Learning: Reading Groups! ππ Our Kindergarten Reading Groups have been full of excitement, discovery, and learning! Our learners have made wonderful progress β learning to read words and sentences with growing confidence. Each week, students have participated in a range of engaging and hands-on experiences that support their reading development. From dramatic play, to fine motor activities that build writing strength, our Reading Groups are filled with fun and purpose. Children have enjoyed phonics games, small group reading, and plenty of opportunities to read for fun, helping them connect sounds, letters, and meaning in many ways. We are so proud of the enthusiasm and effort our Kindergarten learners have shown.

ππ©΅ Lets go NSW ππ©΅ Tonight, St Nicholas of Myra will be cheering on the @NSW Blues in the State of Origin decider. Last week, Amos from Year 6 was able to get up close and personal with the NSW stars through his junior Rugby League club. What an experience!

πππ§‘Grandparents' Day β Term 3, Week 1 ππ𧑠We are excited to celebrate Grandparents' Day on Friday, 25th July. The day will begin with a special Mass at 9:30am in the church, followed by open classrooms and a picnic lunch. As is tradition, the Book Fair will also be open during the picnic lunch, where students can purchase books for $5 or $10 (EFTPOS). Preorder Option via Qkr! For families unable to attend on the day, preorders for books can be made on the Qkr! App from now until 4:00pm on Tuesday, 22nd July. Books are available for $5 or $10, and students who preorder will receive a sticker and be able to choose a book from the fair. We look forward to a wonderful day celebrating with our school community and families!

π€πβ€οΈ Dreaming Story π€πβ€οΈ Year 1 were able to engage in a dreaming story about how the Dragonfly came to live on the land of the Mulgoa people. Students engaged in the story where the Mulgoa people helped Dragonfly ask the permission of the Black Swan, the Totem of the Mulgoa people, to stay on the land. Dragonfly was welcomed and can be found on the land of the Mulgoa people to this day. A special thanks to Aunty Dianne for sharing this cultural story with out students.

βοΈβ€οΈβπ₯ Sacred Heart Liturgy β€οΈβπ₯βοΈ St Nicholas of Myra students gathered for the Sacred Heart of Jesus Liturgy, a beautiful celebration led by Father Joe. Father Joe talked about how Jesus' heart is depicted on the outside because he shares his love with everyone, and everyone has the capacity to accept each other, be nice to one another and live with one another. Our calling is to imitate the heart of Jesus in our everyday lives.
